Valkyria Chronicles 4 revives the formula that made the original a massive success on the PS3, but will expand its gaming base to the PS4, XBox One, and Nintendo Switch.
It’s still set in the fictitious Europa during the same events that take place in the 2008 classic, so vehicles, weapons, and character/soldier types should be fairly similar to Valkyria Chronicles.
However, It will offer new challenges as the frozen winter setting moves away from the woodland and desert terrain the original offered.
In a press release, Sega announced:
“Valkyria Chronicles 4 takes place in the same timeframe as the original Valkyria Chronicles, but focuses on a whole new cast of main characters. Players will take command of the eager, young Commander Claude Wallace, engineer/heavy weapons extraordinaire Riley Miller, hotheaded Darcsen Raz, ice-cold ace sniper Kai Schulen, and more. Together, they will experience the painful realities of war—but will the bonds of Squad E’s friendships survive the frozen battlefield?”
